The Augustów Canal together with 2 locks (Białobrzegi, Borki) goes through the land of the Augustów Municipality. There are also 2 hiking tracks: the yellow one (Augustów – Białobrzegi – Netta – Bargłów – Ełk); the green one (Augustów – Białobrzegi – Grabowe Grądy – Komaszówka – Huta – Jastrzębna).
In our wanders around our district we often come across way -side crosses, witnesses of our history and tradition, put up in various intentions. They attract our attention, both those made of wood (many beautifully carved, topped with metal ornaments which are the work of long ago blacksmiths) and those finely wrought in metal set on stone plinths.
Other interesting monuments worth seeing are: ‘Stary Młyn’ (old mill) in Białobrzegi (made of wood, built at the beginning of 20th century, reconstructed in 1975); a wooden shrine with a 19th century cross in Żarnowo; a pre-Jaćwieź burial ground from Roman times in Netta; an original farm buildings in Kolnica, Grabowo, Rutki and Żarnowo.
We also find monuments of nature such as the aged lindens in Netta Folwark – the Linden Avenue, the 200 year old pine tree in Białobrzegi and a notable poplar by the Augustów Canal in Netta I.
In Gabowe Grądy we can find out something about the culture of the followers of the old-rites, see their homesteads, unique steam baths ‘banie’, as well as the old cemetery and sacral monument: a Molenna.
